Just speculation, but I really hope 'other costs' weren't covering to all those conferences (business class tickets, registration, accomodation). Attending those aren't cheap unless you're invited or sponsored. That's how it is in academia anyway.
Monetary employee benefits should be switched for shares instead - they'll work harder if it matters to them.
Such a shame how things are run at the moment, the science behind Cardiocel and of course Prof Frazer's vaccines are brilliant.
