Yes buying stocks in long entrenched downtrends is never a good idea. having said the bearishness around WMT is reaching a fever pitch and as such this is usually a good time to buy, today should show a reversal at 17, perhaps even a dead cat reversal but it should rally a little bit.
These projections to 9 cents are wishful thinking only.
I don't own, just watching and waiting for the last of the stale bears to sell up.
