Taking a reality check, WEB has been a better investment than FLT - there is NO argument.Period.

Pilbara73, I do not comprehend what you have said - dollars per share gain vs percentage gain of dollars invested?? - the only way to compare companies is percentage gain plus dividends - dollars per share is for Grannies that like to say things like "Telstra pays a good dividend" - or "The Commonwealth Bank pays a good yield" - These Grannies have inherited their shares from their Father or Husband and are emotionally attached to them - come on you can do better than that I am sure!!

Please get a grip on what matters in investing Pilbara73 - there is plenty of good advice around, even in these HC pages.

But I will check out what you say about people booking directly with airlines, I certainly am no expert, I have only booked 2 flights in my life, both recently and domestic to Adelaide from Sydney and then back. My wife always does the bookings (internationally) and often uses a travel agent - so I am a bit unsure of your conviction about going direct. When I was booking it was last minute and both sites gave best price comparisons - I thought that was a great service because there was a huge difference between the cheapest and the dearest with only an hour's difference between takeoff times. Just that WEB had more fees and they only became visible when about to pay for the flights. FLT was more open and honest - that will do it for me every time.

If I was to buy shares in either of these guys then I would be looking at FLT purely from a customer's perspective. I did hold FLT a couple of years ago and was stopped out. I also held WEB and was stopped out. But WEB came back on my radar and I bought back in again _ I had made a loss earlier. ATM I am up 66% with WEB but as I said - ready to jump ship (crazy punter reckons I should jump into the big blue sea - not sure exactly what that means..)
