mmmmm, well i guess we all have had our good/bad experiences.

For my 2 cents worth, i used to fly QAN (in the old ansett/Australian days) weekly and the only reason i flew QAN was that Ansett were really, really bad (lost count how many flighte they cancelled once i was at the gate).

Fast forward to today. QAN, VBA and JStar all have different but overlapping products. For my money (this was before i became a sh) the rude cabin staff on QAN made be try VBA and i have not looked back since.

While i nave not flown on PB, i have flown on VAustralia to LA and i was rather impressed and would happily fly with them again.

I think you will find the VBA team recognised there was a problem with the multi brand approach (lots of reasons why but this is now fixed) and with the new 'Virgin Australia' brand, i am confident VBA will in the next 12-18 months be the best airline in the pacific!
