It’s a circuitous argument. He states he has know the main guys for 25 years and he trusts them. He invested because he believes it will make money, he didn’t invest believing it wouldn’t make money and it turned out it will!!
I consider he’s objective enough to understand good prospects from poor prospects, notwithstanding he is essentially a lender too!
