Cheese, I also buy on fundamentals, but to me the nta figure is irrelevant and the div yield is a very minor part of my appraisal; nta is of use only if one wishes to break-up the company or value a property company; many service companies have minimum nta yet are very profitable because their principal revenue-earning asset is not in the balance sheet ie employees.
The eps and growth in eps are by far the principal factors in setting the price.
I also look at gearing to make sure that won't cause a problem; and the growth in sales/debtors to make sure that debtors aren't growing faster than sales; and intangibles to see if sales growth has followed the purchase.
Everything else is interesting, but has minimal if any effect on price.
