"I was wondering with the initial flow rates (i.e. 1.8m cf gas and 56 bbo/day) using a 6/64 "choke". If these were the "final" results, would that be considered commercial?"
Let me emphasize that I am no expert on making such judgements because there are a large number of factors to take into account.
However, I am happy to comment. In my very uneducated opinion in these matters, I would think those flow rates (if consistant) would be considered "commercial"
I noticed that dis, over on the VIL war zone, commented that 1.8 mmcfg per day could be translated as about 150 bboepd (150 barrels of oil equivalent per day).
So if you add that to the about 56 barrels of condensate being produced presently then you have about 200 bboepd being produced.
Not a gusher but then again a nice little earner.
Now add a few more wells in the structure at that rate and it becomes a very nice little earner.
