"Good morning all,

In these volatile market conditions, are your margin lending clients who are not with Opes Prime suffering unnecessary margin calls because they are not receiving value on all stocks in their portfolio.

Just a friendly reminder that Opes Prime can offer a LVR against all listed shares thus potentially avoiding having to sell stock in a down market. But don't just think of us as lending against the stocks that no one else will lend against, our LVRs for Top 300 stocks are extremely competitive as well.

Our LVR guidelines are as follows:

Top 20 – 80%
Top 100 – 75%
Top 200 – 70%
Top 250 – 60% (this is determined by market cap within the top 300)
Top 300 – 50%
+$480m mkt cap but not in an index – 50%
$250m - $480m mkt cap but not in an index – 40%
$100m - $250m mkt cap but not in an index – 35%
$50m - $100m mkt cap but not in an index – 30%
$25m - $50m mkt cap but not in an index – 20%
$15m - $25m mkt cap but not in an index – 10%
$0 - $15m mkt cap but not in an index – 5%

If on the other hand you have already reduced your clients gearing levels why not take advantage of our Securities Lending (Shorting) Product, so you clients can also profit in a falling market.
