BBC news is carrying the story that the UK government's cabinet reshuffle will see more emphasis on energy from gas and less from renewables. Gas is good but wind is bad apparently - must be a joke in there somewhere!
Alan Kohler on Business Spectator opines a reason the Feds retreated from buying the brown coal burners was a lack of gas.
That and the decision to drop the carbon price keeps brown coal viable but too bad about the emissions. I think we can say emissions reductions is now dead in Aus. Just another reason for CFU to forget here and concentrate efforts overseas. All imo, of course.
