I don't have a problem with shorting, fundamentally speaking.
I have a problem with the lack of transparency around it.
I have a problem with the lack of regulations/enforcement of regulations by ASIC.
I have a problem with instos shorting the price all the way down and then taking a long position.
I think the shorting mechanism would be useful if the stock market had a level playing field. But that will never happen
