Has anyone noticed the tens of thousand staff being sacked/made redundant by General Motors, Ford and the big European brands? Management, of said manufacturers, are being up-front with the reason, and its not the trade dispute or slowing economies. The facts are (they say) that the worlds electric revolution in transport is in full swing and ICE is on the way out; and it takes far fewer workers to make an EV. Its one giant restructure, and its happening now - not in 5 years time, NOW!
It won't be long before the lithium hump is a memory and the real scramble for battery metals begins in earnest; further exacerbated by the current scale-back of existing mines and the lack of new mines getting of the ground.
So don't be fooled by the trolls and down-ramper's. No matter the manipulation by China and political/economic machinations - the rule of demand and supply is all that matters in the end, and the vehicle market is yelling it from the rooftops in easily understandable code.
