I just had a peek all the cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Had to search to find one running a pure ICE. The majority were either pure EVs or Hybrids. And of the ICE cars, most stated that an EV option would be available by 2021.
From that, one concludes that its not going to be easy to by a new ICE car from 2021/22 on.
The moral of the story is: 'Never underestimate the speed of exponential acceleration in the EV/battery/lithium sector.'
