For sure some will come on here soon and argue that whether or not grid battery storage takes off or not will not impact PLS’ position. I don’t agree with such statements - if they were true then it would also be true that initiatives like this would have no impact on matters such as public attitude toward “alternative energy”/“new energy vehicles”/public transport switching to battery etc. Of course this project will not have an immediately quantifiable impact on the short term SP of any company other than likely AGL and eventual suppliers/contractors for the project. But that misses the point that increased announcements of downstream adoption of these technologies are precisely the talisman of supply chain demand back upstream across the sector (the long game).
