I'm aware of that excuse, given mainly by the miners and those invested in them. I don't believe it to be entirely true and even if it were true, if there really was such pent up demand, the "bottleneck" would have been fixed much quicker.
It it were true why haven't the OEMs or other lenders stepped in to provide financing to miners so that supply can be maintained? Why are miners not stockpiling and cranking up exploration? Why have there been no deals done in the sector? Why have we seen a miner hit the wall and many others facing the same outcome?
