Hi SF. Haven’t had time to listen to podcast yet but amazingly I just happened to pull up in Camila on the way home. Road flooding on our terrific world class Bruce Highway in Burdekin area halted progress.
Now the amazing bit is that I parked up with caravan and across the road was a 50kW EV charger. Part of the Qld Electric Super Highway. It is a joint Yurika/ Chargefox installation. Camila has a population of about 10 people. Well maybe a few more and not insulting if any of the 10 read this. Pic of charger near my caravan spot below.
Now a quick answer to your question was triggered when the Yurika name on the charger was noticed.
Yurika is a Qld public owned company. They have started installing PV with battery storage. Now the reasons for doing this are many and the link to the article below touches on some.
