Tesla doesn't want a repeat of production hell like early 2018 with release of M3. It appears they are going to make their own cells, and as per recent announcement, Elon stated they will need 1twh of production by end of decade, which would require ~900kt of LCE. Taunting the competition again, watch for new announcements from the other OEM's, cell makers, and hopefully converters;
