Good news .... I finally had to investigate where the fuel door was in our new plug in hybrid. It’s been 4 weeks and I figured with the fuel gauge showing I’d used about 15lt in the 750km driven since we bought it I should probably visit a fuel station to remind myself how they worked, make sure this car’s fuel door did work and make sure I wasn’t missing out on something.
Three neighbours also now driving plug in and non-plug in hybrids bought this year.
Will the public switch? Yep ... I haven’t missed a thing about handing over dollars for fuel each week and frankly it’s so simple to plug it in when I come home at night and unplug for the next day and no fuel fumes. (Oh, of course it does mean I might cut down on shi*&y $1 cups of instant fuel station coffee too ... hmmm). Plugging in and unplugging occupies about 30s each day.
Next up is to replace our non-plug in hybrids with full electric models.
