All the OEM’s are desperate to keep a lid on prices and lock-in low input costs.
Q - who is going to put their hand up to invest capital into raw materials at current prices?

Silence.
Very well for Elon to try and encourage miners to produce. Oh and try and be efficient, as if they don’t already do that. Seriously, maybe if the miners were able to raise capital with a seriously bubble territory level share price like Tesla and have their off take agreements honored at reasonable prices, OEM’s wouldn’t be looking down the barrel of having a severe shortage of materials to produce enough batteries for their overly ambitious EV production targets.
