The below forecast from BMI, showing just over 1.8twh of battery production capacity by 2024 (in LCE terms at 0.83kg/kwh = 1.5 mill tonnes). The operative word here is "capacity", because lithium (auto grade) supply has no hope of reaching that volume by 2024, I guess the cell makers will have to put up with spare capacity, and hope the OEM's are planning their productions output based on the cell marker's capacity.
