Just finished listening to episode 83 of the Global Lithium podcast. For me, Joe Lowry, like him or not has greatly served to lithium sector, really stepping up to the plate since battery day.
This episode is a mashup of topics, but at about 13.25 mins in, he explains that many of the lithium producers will need to upgrade their processes in order to reach "battery quality" demand, which he says is like a double whammy for demand. I'm not exactly sure what he meant, but I believe he was referring to the need for producers to sacrifice recoveries over tonnes produced.
Any thoughts from those who have a good understanding of plant/processing operations.
