20,000 tonnes is quite small scale when compared to China, most cathode material plants in China are between 50,000-80,000 tonnes. CATL is spending 9 billion RMB (A$1.82 billion) to develop a 100,000tpa NCM plant to jump the queue into joining the top 25 large ones. I already visited two of the major plants in China, quite impressive. Good to see South Korea getting involved though.
