Yep, it is feasible. I.e. Hydroxide is very unstable and when exposed to the air quickly degradates into carbonate... That's a problem for the Hydroxide as it doesn't have a good shelf life ( I recall around 2-3 months), and is not a good traveller (better produced locally close to thw consumer )
