your missing the point bringing up fund contributions and additionally not understanding the outflows for various reasons including the two lots of $10,000 that members could have withdrawn each this year and it’s not closed yet. AS and ma y industry funds were hit hardest. I do get behind the scene industry flow of information.
your assumption of a figure of tax to pay is nonsense and based on what? a full sell down? That’s extreme and not indicated in the thread, but if that figure was actual then I’m sure the unit prices in fund would reflect a massive increase. And you say the members wouldn’t be happy, how would they know? Tax consequences of sales is not distributed to members, nor can you usually find asset exposure details and a lot more.
Not trying to derail you and happy to disappear again for a few years if you don’t value informed discussion
