One would think its quite difficult to make a investment decision (either way) based on speculation on what PLS may or may not do. Not even PLS will know as AJM is in the hands of receivers and managers now who work for the security holder creditors, it will ultimately be up to them.
If anything I think it would be more precarious for shorters to increase positions based on the pure fundamental supply change and it's affect on the raw material price which can only be a positive increase.
PLS benefits from doing nothing, and may benefit from taking on AJM's assets, but there are too many moving parts in it to base any decisions off imo and betting either way is extremely risky business.
All my own opinion not advice.
