I posted something on this very recently and made this assumption.

Another poster made the point that a director wouldn't know about a hostile takeover, but I'm not so sure about whether this is is play.

I think the fact that directirs are buying means they see value in the long term, as they aren't allowed to buy on impending news, for obvious reasons.

Although there have been huge volumes traded recently, I don't believe this is part of a takeover, more likely an opportunity by many traders to make a profit, hence why there was such a large fall today - profit taking.

I'm not sure who made the comment that they have a LT and ST fund, so they can trade on some of the shares and trade the rest. But for NXS this makes sense, as it is so volatile and until they get past some significant hurdles, this will continue.
