I think people are also forgetting the ELEPHANT in the room for June..... TAX (for Australian investors at least)
Last FY unlike any in our life times many investors would/could have had huge capital loss events than followed it up this FY (hopefully everyone) with even bigger capital gains.
Personally I had massive capital loses last year which due to covid (and some laziness) I could not seek advice in time to utlise, so the loses carried over.
This FY luckily I had the largest gains ever but with a portfolio that must be rebalanced to let me sleep at nights.
Meaning I need to sell some shares 80% of my portfolio is Lithium and REE lol.
So there will be volitility in this sector even without shorting or manipulations.
