China's GanfengLithium to buy Lithea Inc for $962 million
BEIJING, July 11 (Reuters) -China's biggest lithium compounds producer Ganfeng Lithium Co Ltd(002460.SZ) said on Monday it will buy Argentina-focussed Lithea Inc for up to $962 million as it seeks to secure access to more resources for production of key battery metals.
Privately owned Lithea ownsrights to two lithium salt lakes in Argentina's mineral-rich Salta province.
Lithea is owned by LSC Lithium B.V., which is in turn owned by PluspetrolResource Corp, an oil and gas mining firm
