As KB said yesterday the future of PLS and the industry is not with sales of spodumene. It will be more about our mid stream product or similar products. I have heard other CEO's acknowledge the need to watch developments in this space.
It would seem that, to remain relevant, other companies may need to either spend a lot of time (years) and money to develop a similar product or use PLS/Calixĺ technology.
Using PLS technology will come at a cost. The company have said they would be agreeable and consideration of 5% of that companies sales, from this use, for the first 10 years would be the fee. If I remember correctly.
That could amount to a lot of income if prices remain at or near current levels and several took up the offer.
This is another reason I and others here cheer each and every announcement regarding our progress with Calix. That is my understanding of what is going down but you better DYOR.
