Yes, it's all about keeping a lid on raw feed prices. If the FFX project now has a chance of getting up, analyst can start including that (paper) supply into to the future supply/demand picture. Ganfeng did exactly the same after securing offtake with PLS, signing offtakes with MIN for Mt Marion and AJM.
Though, Ganfeng are targeting 650kt of lithium chems over the coming years. If 75% of that capacity uses spod as feedstock, Ganfeng would need ~3.25 mill tonnes of spod.
