That there, chiefly, is the power of the pen in action . Like many outraged folks (well... grumpy old men) of whom were horrified to hear that the government simpletons in Vic, NSW and SA were planning on a premature tax on EV's I wrote to the aforesaid Premiers and politely alluded to the fact that a tax on EV's at this point in time was a dumb-ass idea - and would cost them votes (namely mine in NSW). In diplomatic speak said letters were peppered with platitudes on their splendid job in the control of the virus and the environmental links with the burning of fossil fuels, and that a tax on EV's would be acceptable once 30% of the States fleet became electric. So I was gratified to see that at least one State government had taken the presumed influx of letters on the subject to heart - I am one, but I am many.
