As the sales of EV are rising dramatically, so will the amount of money in R&D, which will mean the EV as you know it will be a lot different to the EV in 5 or 10 years time.
Think of the way mobile phones developed as the sales grew exponentially.
The global shift to EV's is massive - possibly one of the largest changes we'll see in our lifetime.
These major technology shifts don't happen overnight, and anyone who thinks they should is a fool.
