There's two types of subsidies for EVs in China. One is for the manufacturer and one is for the consumer. The consumer subsidy was extended to end of 2023. The manufacturer subsidy ends at the end of this year. The argument is that manufacturers are pumping out cars now before the subsidy ends and then there will be a slow down next year, which won't body well for lithium pricing.
