So much noise because of no transparent market for raw Lithium. The stockpiles are at various Li processing plants, mostly in China. They can say whatever they want as there is no one able to verify it. As long as they continue to buy raw Li (spodumene or Li carbonate), then they still need the raw materials. We need a real market for it and that will happen when the US will be a substantial buyer. In the mean time, EV demand increase is one way traffic. All buyers of new vehicle either want one or consider for the next one when it is not a choice any more (and going to be cheaper, more selection).
