It all about supply and demand, yes new players reduce and supply gaps, thus prices adjust accordingly, but I cant agree with you second point, not at this juncture .
While customer demand might not increase/stay steady per individual customer, I'm not sure what the cause is, but as the population grows, we create new customers.
Besides the above population phenonium, the world is at the very early stages of transitioning from carbon based energy to renewable/cleaner energy consumption. Therefore, to take the transition from ~15% today to 80 or 100% in the future, demand for clean energy facing materials will grow exponentially, tapering off once we start nudging near to net zero targets.
