As to battery makers in emerging economies, SF, have you noticed (via Bloomberg) that Joko Wadodo (spelling?) in Indonesia is on train to stop any exports of critical metals - battery grade nickel done, bauxite and copper in the process etc. Sounds like a man with a plan to me, and handy having friend Oz a mere rowboat ride away with all their missing components, lithium etc.
