- Tesla can make a lot more profit via add-on sales to their vehicles (eg FSD) than trying to maintain profit on vehicle sales. As such, they can heavily discount in order to sell at full
production (which is 2.6 million)
- I'll add to the above that I saw a post regarding Tesla's being equipped with star link functionality. This will happen from mid January 2023.
- US tax law states a seller must wait 30 days, in order to use a stock loss against a tax declaration, before buying the stock back. So any one doing this in December could legally re-enter to market from mid January 2023.
Overall could be record Tesla sales in 2023 = more lithium, and more equity buyers entering the market by end of January
