I sold all of my (160,000) Pilbara Minerals shares well before reading this article https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-12-28/calls-government-support-lithium-battery-renewable-energy/101793740 and I am relieved about my timing. Every single cent SP drop translated into a considerable loss. I am starting to wonder if 'we' will ever be able to re-establish a meaningful manufacturing industry here in Australia, rather than being content with barista shops and nail studios. Good at digging stuff up, or just like in the old days when wool was 'harvested', then sent to England and jumpers being re-imported, 'we'/PLS are exporting 6% lithium contained in 94% waste, only for other countries to refine this resource in the form of batteries. A PLS dividend some time next year would not have made up for the (continued) losses I endured. I was so very optimistic a few months back, but looking at this chart has made worried and I also cancelled my request for a Pilbara visor cap to rein in their expenses. Ready for all kind of responses and how good would it be if things would turn around for PLS and its enthusiastic shareholders.
