I think it is safe to say that transition to Electric Vehicles is advancing rapidly. More rapidly it seems than in Australia as we are a bit of a backwater here. Infrastructure here needs to increase and we are hamstrung somewhat by our vast distances regarding charging points.
BYD are planning a bigger footprint in Australia if this ABC video report is to be believed.

Demand for electric vehicles is surging meaning buyers often face high prices and long-waits. However, with more models coming in from China, costs may start to lower.
I get a feeling that Elon's Crown is starting to slip a bit in recent times.
