The car park weight limitations saga is just a nonsense. I am not an engineer but I am pretty certain that design rules are in the order of 10 to 1. For a given weight then the structure should withstand 10 times the maximum. I would think this would mean all car spaces filled with the heaviest vehicles would be 1 tenth of the breaking load.
So if all EV's weighed 10 percent more that all ICE then that would only reduce the design capability to 9 to 1.
I am not an engineer's elbow so I could be way off, but I think that there is absolutely no issue with current carpaks taking the load.
Besides all that - every effort is focussed on reducing weight of EV's to give better range and performance.
I think this issue is dead in the water.
