I don't believe the retail brokers will lend their clients shares for shorting without discussing with them first
EG
Say I hold 100,000 PLS and my broker were to lend them for shorting without my permission or knowledge; I decide I want to cash in my investment and place a sell order for 100,000 PLS; what happens next?
