The battery doesn't slowly run out of puff, they initially degrade and then level off. The battery in a modern Tesla will last "hundreds of thousand sof miles". Yes miles, not km. It will survive most people. Current replacement cost on a Model 3 Performance is $14k AUD.
There is no servicing on a Tesla other than rotating/ changing tyres, washer fluid and brake fluid every 2 years and cabin filter.
