It certainly will be interesting to see how this shift unfolds practically.
GM have just announced a $1b investment in development of their next V8.
Not that I'm a fan of American V8s. Like, I can't stand them, or their redneck owners.
Porsche have said the 911 will forever have an internal combustion engine, with a likely hybrid adaption as well.
Toyota have openly committed to continuing to sell internal combustion powered vehicles, and are investing $383m into making them more efficient.
Only the passing of time will reveal how this unfolds.
