Can someone work this out, please?
I'm trying to get an idea of what the POSCO JV might mean to PLS.
The deal is:About 330,000t of spodumene sold to JV, (paid 70/30 by POSCO and PLS) @ say $5000t = $US 1.65B
POSCO plant is for 40,000t Lithium Hydroxide x say $US 50,000t. Value = $US 2B
Profit = $US 350M of which 30% goes to PLS.
It seems there must be something wrong with my numbers, can someone please point it out?
I can’t believe we are going to this trouble for $US100M more than we get for just selling the spodumene. Are the higher spod prices ruining our profit?
