i wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese government was able to influence the buyers to reduce competition amongst them when bidding. late last year i remember news that they were in talks with refineries to do something along these lines and most commentators thought this would not be possible, but here we are? China does have the monopoly on refining product and the most to gain from increased ev sales while they wrest market share from legacy auto on the global stage.
