I've lost count of all the alternative battery tech on the cusp of usurping lithium, SF. Over the years I've seen everything from cow poo to crab shells to zinc to salt and others so obscure and outlandish that one had to question one's choice of exotic herbs but for the enhanced laughter caused by said alternatives. No doubt soundwaves or carbonized food produced by privately educated wives will be next, in which case I could be sitting on a fortune- should gum leaves prove not to be the Holy Grail. Or my personal favourite of scantily clad slave goils producing peddle powered energy in the back seat of my Jag - a boy can dream
