um son works on 11000kw ships motors, the modern 2 cycle crosshead diesel is the most mech efficient combustion engine ever made, although prime movers for electric as in cruise ships are 4 cycle, hard to see a a 250000 tonne container ship running on anything other than heavy fuel oil
