It’s all up in the air until announced but I’ll throw some logic out there that makes sense I hope.
The company made roughly $1billion in profit past 6 months and has introduced a dividend payout policy of 20-30%.
That gives you $200m-$300m payout which is about the same as last time. 3billion shares on issue so even if payout is top range of this, you’re looking at a final dividend of 10c per share.
This is prudent and inline with the dividend policy.
However, what you might see, and very likely I believe is in addition a ‘special dividend’ on top. How much? Who knows. But they do have $3.3billion in cash and they could pay out as much as they see fit, and still maintain that 20-30% dividend policy.
