Andrew Miller who's the chief operating officer of Benchmark minerals intelligence in Australia in 2021 so two years ago now the production of Lithium-ion batteries was 450 gigawatt hours and he's a dude who would know the early 2030s so fast forward 10 years from then the predicted demand according to Mr Miller is going to be 3000 gigawatt hours so that is what it's like a seven-fold increase in demand being imposed on a market that is already Beyond its capacity and absolutely struggling to keep up.

Ms Kaufman (Rio) anticipated enormous demand for lithium this decade and beyond and a big supply shortage even if every lithium project in the pipeline made it into production. Rio sees the world being short by more than a 50% based on all mines in the planning stage going ahead?
