My take on the last 15 minutes of trading on PLS & the closing price action
1) Ex Dividend date on 05/09/2023
2) Today being 31/08/2023, gives us two more trading days till ex dividend
3) So more of Dividend based ETF's/Fund managers getting in prior to the Ex-dividend date, Dividend yield is alright at these prices
On Ex Dividend Date
1) Expect a sell off on the 05/09/2023 for the value of 14 cents plus the franking component of 6 cents - implying at least 20 cents dividend
There is no catalyst for the 9.26%, or 278Million Shorts to cover - only immediate news worthy event is the dividend - till then the shorts drive this lower
