The lower the SP goes the greater the chance of PLS being targeted for acquisition. All we have witnessed here is a short-term commodity price retracement which was not unexpected by the market. PLS remains an obvious takeover target due in part to its eye-watering $3.3 billion cash position, its single asset focus, and its strong operating and SP performance. Takeover interest would be growing the lower the SP goes.
